ViewRNA High Content Screening Assay- Overview

Fluorescence miRNA In Situ Hybridization (miRNA FISH)—Overview

Fluorescence based in situ hybridization (FISH) techniques are used to visualize DNA or localized RNAs within cells. However the fluorescence in situ hybridization of miRNA has always been limited by low sensitivity, complicated workflow and the inability to perform multiplex analysis. ViewRNA is a novel non-radioactive miRNA and mRNA in situ hybridization solution that offers single-molecule miRNA and RNA sensitivity. Affymetrix Research-Use-Only (RUO) products for miRNA FISH analysis allow investigators doing biomarker discovery or clinical research to validate and study miRNA biomarkers in suspension or adherent cells.

Unique Benefits

  • Directly visualize RNA in adherent or suspension cells
  • Sensitivity of one copy/cell at single cell resolution
  • Analyze one to four mRNA targets per cell
  • High-throughput and high-content compatible
  • Compatible with standard fluorescence microscopes or high content imagers

  • siRNA knockdown studies
  • Stem cells and developmental biology
  • Biomarker validation
  • Analysis of transcriptional heterogeneity
  • Reporter gene assays
  • Time course studies
  • Viral gene trafficking
  • A companion to immunofluorescence (IF) or DNA FISH assays
