Description

Description: Nerve Growth Factor-beta (NGF-b) is a neurotrophic factor that plays a crucial role in the regulation of growth and differentiation of sympathetic and sensory neurons. NGF is a 7S complex comprised of alpha, beta, and gamma subunits. The beta subunit is responsible for the NGF growth stimulating activity. It has been reported that NGF-b promotes B cells differentiation and survival. Mouse NGF-b produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated homodimer, with each monomer containing 120 amino acids of 13.5 kDa.
