Description

Description: The MECA-367 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse mucosal vascular addressin-1 (MAdCAM-1), a 50-60 kDa member of the Ig superfamily. This antigen is expressed in mucosal lymphoid tissue and lamina propria and is a counter-receptor for CD62L and CD49d. MAdCAM-1 is involved in homing of subpopulation of memory T cells to the gut lamina propria, and recirculation of naïve lymphocytes in Peyer’s patches and mesenteric lymph nodes.
