Description: The T3.7C3 antibody reacts with mouse TLR3 and was generated using the sequence of extracellular domain of mouse TLR3. To date, at least twelve members of the Toll family have been identified. This family of type I transmembrane proteins is characterized by an extracellular domain with leucine-rich repeats and a cytoplasmic domain with homology to the type I IL-1 receptor. In the innate immunity system, TLRs recognize molecular patterns associated with microbial pathogens and induce antimicrobial immune responses. TLR3 recognizes double-stranded (ds)RNA and induces the activation of NF-κB, through MyD88-dependent and -independent pathways and the production of type I interferons (IFNs). Immunoblotting with this antibody gives a MW of ~120 kDa in mTLR3 transfected cells.
