Description

Description: The TX83 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse allergin-1, a 60-kDa inhibitory immunoglobulin-like receptor. In mice, allergin-1 is expressed preferentially on mast cells, but can also be found on dendritic cells, macrophages, and neutrophils. When allergin-1 is co-ligated with FceRI, it inhibits FceRI-mediated degranulation of mast cells, which inhibits immediate hypersensitvity reactions. There is currently no ligand identified for this receptor.
