PerCP-eFluor® 710 Organic Dye
Replacement for PE-Cy5.5
PerCP-eFluor 710 has been developed to provide a high performance tandem fluorophore for multicolor flow cytometry. It is designed for use with flow cytometry instruments equipped with a blue laser. PerCP-eFluor 710 emission is slightly red-shifted compared to PE-Cy5.5 and PerCP-Cy5.5, but it uses the same filter set recommendations as those tandem dyes. No change to your instrumentation is needed if you already use PE-Cy5.5 or PerCP-Cy5.5, allowing you to easily add PerCP-eFluor 710 to your multicolor panels.
PerCP-eFluor® 710 Replaces PE-Cy5.5
eBioscience now offers PerCP-eFluor 710 as an alternatives to PE-Cy5.5 for use in the FL3 channel on a blue (488 nm) laser line. Advantages of this PerCP tandem dye includes:
- No compensation needed out of the PE channel
- Similar staining intensity to PE-Cy5.5
PerCP-eFluor® 710 Performance Comparison with PerCP-Cy5.5
PerCP-eFluor® 710 is consistently brighter than PerCP-Cy5.5 in a clone to clone comparison
Anti-Mouse CD4 (clone RM4-5), Anti-Mouse CD8 (clone 53-6.7), and Anti-Human CD3 (clone OKT3) were conjugated to either PerCP-eFluor 710 (red) or PerCP-Cy5.5 (pink) for direct comparison. Mouse splenocytes were stained with Anti-CD4 (left panel) or Anti-CD8 (middle panel). Human PBMCs were stained with Anti-CD3 (right panel).
Stability of PerCP-eFluor® 710 Organic Dye
The PerCP-eFluor 710 Organic Dye is very stable and exposure to ambient light and standard fixation protocols have minimal effect on compensation requirements.
PerCP-eFluor® 710 stains with equal intensity as PE-Cy5.5
LEFT: Human PBMCs were stained with either Anti-Human CD40 PerCP-eFluor 710 (5C3) (pink line) or Anti-Human CD40 PE-Cy5.5 (5C3) (grey line). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
RIGHT: Mouse bone marrow cells were stained with either Anti-Mouse IgM PerCP-eFluor 710 (II/41) (pink line) or Anti-Mouse IgM PE-Cy5.5 (II/41) (grey line). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
Mouse bone marrow cells were stained with either Anti-Mouse CD117 PerCP-eFluor 710 (2B8) (cat. 46-1171) (pink line) or Anti-Mouse CD117 PE-Cy5.5 (2B8) (grey line). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
