Description

Description: The MBM7C7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and mouse BATF (B cell activating transcription factor). BATF is a 14 kDa member of the AP-1 family of transcription factors and is involved in the repression of other AP-1 family members. BATF is upregulated in activated T cells when compared to naïve T and B cells and has been shown to be critical for Th17, but not Th1 or Th2 differentiation. In Th17, BATF interacts with the promoters of IL17, IL17F, IL21 and IL22. BATF has also been shown to be involved in CD8 T cell exhaustion in HIV infection.
