Description: BMS146 specifically recognizes Mac-2 (galectin-3) mucin-like binding domain of human 90K/Mac-2BP. Mac-2BP is a highly glycosylated protein that plays a major role in cancer research. Elevated levels in sera have been found in many patients suffering from various types of cancer or viral infections.
