Description
Since the discovery of the first Toll-Like Receptor (TLR) protein in
Drosophila in 1988, the collective contribution of this family of proteins to innate immunity has gained increasing attention. This poster has been updated to describe all currently discovered TLR proteins in both the human and mouse. A schematic illustration displays the ligands which are thought to bind to each TLR, and the subsequent downstream signaling cascades which are regulated through adaptor proteins unique to TLR signal transduction. Also shown is a summary chart of the properties of each TLR including their distribution and genomic locus, and a chart outlining the products currently offered by eBioscience in support of TLR research.
