Description

The 55A219 antibody reacts with human TRAF5. TRAF5 is a 558-amino acid protein. TRAF5 is implicated in NF-κB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase/stress-activated protein kinase activation by members of the TNF receptor superfamily including CD27, CD30, CD40, and lymphotoxin-beta receptor. Targeted disruption of TRAF5 gene causes defects in CD40-CD27 mediated lymphocyte activation. The 55A219 antibody was raised against a GST fusion polypeptide corresponding to amino acids 77 to 186 of human TRAF5.

Applications Tested

The 55A219 antibody can be used for detection of TRAF5 by Western blotting at 2 μg/ml dilution. HeLa cell lysate can be used as positive control and an approximately 66 kDa band should be detected. It is recommended that the reagent be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
