Description

The 37A565 antibody reacts with human DcR3. Decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) binds to FasLigand and blocks its binding to Fas. It is generally amplified in a number of lung and colon carcinomas suggesting that certain tumors may escape FasL-dependent cell death by expressing a decoy receptor that blocks FasL. Unlike DcR1 and DcR2, which are membrane-associated proteins, DcR3 is directly secreted into the extracellular space. This monoclonal antibody was raised against a full-length recombinant protein of human DcR3.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 37A565 antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB).

Applications Tested

The 37A565 antibody can be used for detection of DcR3 expression by Western blotting at 2-4 μg/ml dilution. Jurkat cells can be used as a positive control and a protein of approximate molecular weight of 34 kDa should be detected. It is recommended that the reagent be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
