Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe UCHT1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. Along with the other CD3 subunits γ and δ, the ε chain is required for proper assembly, trafficking and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes in a developmentally regulated manner and by all mature T cells. Crosslinking of TCR via immobilized UCHT1 initiates an intracellular biochemical pathway resulting in cellular activation and proliferation. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This UCHT1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. The Alexa Fluor® 700 emits at 723 nm and can be excited with the He-Ne 633 laser. Most instruments will require a 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter. Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochome. Applications TestedThis UCHT1 antibody is offered in 2 formats: - μg size: has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. - test size: has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 20 μl (0.5 μg) per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. The pre-titrated test size contains BSA and/or gelatin for protein stabilization. References
