Thioglycolate elicited peritoneal exudate cells were cultured overnight with or without LPS. Cells were surface stained with PE anti-mouse CD11b, (clone M1/70, cat. 12-0112 ), then fixed, permeabilized, and stained with Alexa Fluor® 647 anti-mouse IL-1beta. Data on left shows staining of LPS stimulated cells. Data on right shows staining of unstimulated cells.

Description
The fluorochrome conjugated antigen-affinity purified polyclonal rabbit antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-1β (IL-1β), a 17 kDa factor secreted primarily by monocytes. IL-1 has effects on T-helper cells, inducing IL-2 secretion and expression of IL-2 receptors. IL-1 has effects on B cells, promoting cell proliferation and immunoglobulin synthesis.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The antigen-affinity purified polyclonal rabbit IgG has been reported for use in ELISA and intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
The fluorochrome-conjugated antigen-affinity purified polyclonal rabbit IgG anti-mouse IL-1beta antibody has been tested by intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis and can be used at 20 ul (0.06 µg) per million cells in 100 ul staining volume.
