Description
The monoclonal antibody 3C4 (mIC2/4) recognizes mouse CD102, also known as intercellular adhesion molecule-2 (ICAM-2). CD102, a member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors with 2 extracellular Ig domains, binds LFA (CD11a/CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18), thereby mediating cellular interactions to lymphocytes. CD102 plays a role in NK cytotoxicity and migration, and lymphocyte recirculation. Expression of CD102 is found on most lymphocytes, monocytes and platelets.

The 3C4 (mIC2/4) antibody blocks interaction of lymphocytes with antigen presenting cells.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This 3C4 (mIC2/4) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

eFluorTM 450 is a replacement for Pacific Blue®. eFluorTM 450 emits at 456 nm and is excited with the Violet laser. Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochome.
Applications Tested
This 3C4 (mIC2/4) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
