Staining of C57Bl/6 splenocytes with 0.25 μg of PerCP-Cy5.5 Armenian Hamster IgG Iso Cntrl (cat. 45-4888) (open histogram) or 0.125 μg of PerCP-Cy5.5 anti-mouse TCRb (H57-597) (colored histogram). Total viable cells were used for analysis.

Description

The H57-597 monoclonal antibody reacts with the β chain of mouse TCR. TCRβ is expressed by thymocytes in a developmentally regulated manner and a majority of peripheral T cells. Crosslinking of the TCR complex with H57-597 induces activation and proliferation of T cells or apoptosis based on assay conditions. H57-597 is used as a phenotypic marker for TCR β expressing T cells.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This H57-597 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

This H57-597 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
