Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionMouse IL-2 (also known as TCGF) is an ~17 kDa factor produced mainly by activated CD4+ T cells. IL-2 induces cell cycle progression of resting cells in an antigen non-specific manner and allows clonal expansion of activated T cells. IL-2 also acts on activated B cells, monocytes, NK cells, LAK cells, and on oligodendroglial cells in vitro. In addition, IL-2 plays a role in hematopoiesis, tumor surveillance and anti-inflammatory reactions, and hence is a central regulator of the immune response. Non-glycosylated IL-2 is biologically active. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Recombinant mouse IL-2 is biologically active. The intended use of the Recombinant Mouse IL-2 Single-Use ELISA RSG Standard is as a standard for mouse IL-2 Ready-SET-Go! ELISA and mouse IL-2 matched antibody pair ELISA. Typically the standard is run in a series of 7 doubling dilutions from the ‘top’ standard described below. Instructions for use: For Ready-SET-Go! ELISA Set (TMB substrate). Dilution: Add 4 ul of standard solution to 20 ml of assay diluent to prepare the top standard solution (200 pg/ml). For matched antibody pair ELISA (ABTS or Super AquaBlue substrate). Dilution: Add 5 ul of standard solution to 10 ml of assay diluent to prepare the top standard solution (500 pg/ml). Note: These are single-use vials. Use one time and discard. Dilute as suggested above, not difficult-to-measure fractions of the suggested volumes (e.g., not 0.5 ul in 1.0 ml) or recovery may not be accurate. Use within 6 hours of dilution to top standard concentration. Applications TestedThis cytokine standard has been calibrated, and subsequently tested by sandwich ELISA using the mouse IL-2 ELISA pair (JES6-1A12/JES6-5H4). |
