Description

The streptavidin fluorochrome conjugates are commonly used in indirect staining protocols to detect biotinylated primary antibodies in flow cytometry. Streptavidin binds to biotin with high affinity.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. SAV-Cy5 can be excited by a 633 nm laser and emits its fluorescence at ~670 nm.

Applications Tested

This lot of SAV-Cy5 has been tested by flow cytometric analysis to detect biotinylated primary antibodies and can be used at less than or equal to 0.125 μg/million cells. It is recommended that this reagent be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
