Description

The streptavidin fluorochrome conjugates are commonly used in indirect staining protocols to detect biotinylated primary antibodies in flow cytometry. Streptavidin binds to biotin with high affinity.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. SAV-APC is excited at 610-640 nm and emits its fluorescence at ~660 nm.

Applications Tested

Streptavidin-APC has been tested by flow cytometric analysis to detect biotinylated primary antibodies. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.06 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
