Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe HIS47 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD5, a 67 kDa surface protein expressed by a majority of thymocytes and mature T cells. While mouse and human CD5 is also expressed on a small subset of B cells called B-1 cells, such CD5+ B cell subset has not been identified in the rat so far. CD5 is a counter-receptor for CD72 and plays a role in the T-B cell interaction. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This HIS47 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications TestedThis HIS47 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocyte suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. References
