Description

The YLI-90 monoclonal antibody reacts with the B6 mouse Ly-49I receptor. Ly49I, a member of the Ly49 family with inhibitory function, is a homodimer type II transmembrane protein and contains an Immunoreceptor Tyrosine-based Inhibitory Motif (ITIM). YLI-90 binds to subpopulations of NK, NKT and T cell lineages in the C57Bl/6 strain. This antibody does not bind to cells from BALB/c, SJL or AKR/J mice.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. YLI-90 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The YLI-90 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mouse splenocyte suspensions and can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg/million cells. For optimal detection of Ly-49I using YLI-90, a fluorochrome conjugated isotype-specific second step is recommended. If using a polyclonal anti-mouse IgG second step, please note that splenic B cells will also stain due to binding of the second step to surface IgG. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
