Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionMouse Fibroblast Growth Factor-acidic (FGF-a) is a ~16 kDa non-glycosylated member of the FGF family and is produced by multiple cell types. FGF-a stimulates the proliferation of many cell types including those of mesodermal, neuroectodermal, ectodermal, and endodermal origin. It plays a number of roles in development, regeneration, and angiogenesis. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Recombinant mouse FGFa is biologically active and can promote proliferation of mouse BALB/c 3T3 cells in culture. Applications TestedThis reagent has been tested by bioassays using the mouse cell line BALB/c 3T3. The ED50 measured in a BALB/c 3T3 proliferation assay is typically 40 pg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of approximately 2.5 x107 Units/mg. References
