Description
The eBioTP1 monoclonal antibody recognizes human T Cell Receptor gamma Chain Alternate Reading Frame Protein (TARP). The TARP gene is embedded in the TCR gamma locus and its transcript originates within an intron just upstream of the J gamma 1.2 segment. TARP, which is 58 amino acids and 7 kDa in size, is localized to the mitochondria and expressed exclusively in normal prostate, and in prostate and breast cancers. Furthermore, the expression of TARP is regulated by androgen in cell lines.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This eBioTP1 (TP1, a.k.a 1F8) antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB), and immunohistochemical staining.
Applications Tested
This eBioTP1 (TP1, a.k.a 1F8) antibody has been tested by western blot analysis of vitamin A-treated LNCaP cells. This antibody can be used at 2 μg/ml as a starting concentration, however it is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
