Description

The polyclonal antibody reacts with mouse lymphotactin, also known as XCL1, and was generated using E. coli-expressed amino acid 1-92 of mature mouse lymphotactin as an immunogen. XCL1 is the only C chemokine so far identified which has a single cysteine residue near the amino terminus. It has 114 amino acids with a 22-amino acid signal peptide. It is produced in activated CD8+ T cells and NK cells. XCL1 attracts both T lymphocytes and NK cells. Cross-reactivity to XCL1 of other species has not been determined.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This polyclonal antibody has been reported for use in immunoprecipitation, and immunoblotting (WB).

Applications Tested

The tested titer for Western blot is 1:2000; for immunoprecipitation, use 1:500. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
