Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe MAb1 antibody reacts with human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a 17 kDa cytokine produced by monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, NK cells and CD4+ T cells. TNF-α has cytolytic activity against a range of tumor cells and is important in immune regulation. TNF-α forms dimers and trimers and also exists as a 26 kDa membrane bound form. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. MAb1 has been reported for use in capture of human TNF-α by ELISA. It can also be used for immunoblotting (WB) and for neutralizing TNF-α binding and biological activity (use Functional Grade purified cat.16-7348). Applications TestedThe MAb1 antibody has been tested as the capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of human TNF-alpha (TNF-a) in combination with the biotin MAb11 (13-7349) antibody for detection and recombinant human TNFa (14-8329) as the standard. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for ELISA capture is 1-4 µg/ml. A standard curve consisting of doubling dilutions of the recombinant standard over the range of 1000 pg/ml - 8 pg/ml should be included in each ELISA plate. References
