Staining of C57Bl/6 splenocytes with FITC anti-mouse CD3e (145-2C11) (cat. 11-0031) and 0.125 μg of Purified Rat IgG1 Iso Cntrl (cat. 14-4301) (left) or 0.125 μg of Purified anti-mouse Va-8.3 TCR (B21.14) (right) followed by PE Anti-Rat IgG (cat. 12-4822). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.

Description

The B21.14 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse T-cell receptor (TCR) Vα8.3 chain in all mouse strains tested. Specifically, the epitope of B21.14 has been mapped to three amino acids which are unique to Vα8.3, but are not present in the other Vα8 subfamily members.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This B21.14 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

This B21.14 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and lymph node cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
