Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with 0.5 μg of Purified Mouse IgG1, K Iso Cntrl (cat. 14-4714) (open histogram) or 0.5 μg of Purified anti-human CD99 (3B2/TA8) (colored histogram) followed by FITC Anti-Mouse IgG (cat. 11-4011). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.

Description

The 3B2/TA8 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD99, also known as E2 antigen and MIC2. CD99 is an approximately 32 kDa sialoglycoprotein and is expressed by all leukocytes. CD99 is involved in T cell adhesion and activation.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 3B2/TA8 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The 3B2/TA8 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
