Description
The HIS36 monoclonal antibody reacts with a molecule expressed on the surface of rat macrophages. The antigen recognized by HIS36 is an ED2-like antigen expressed by thioglycolate-elicited peritoneal cells and tissue macrophages. This antibody is used as a marker for rat tissue macrophages.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The HIS36 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis, and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections.
Applications Tested
The HIS36 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat spleen and peritoneal cells. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
