Description

The TP1/25.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD50, also known as intercellular adhesion molecule-3 (ICAM-3). ICAM-3 is an approximately 110-120 kDa type I transmembrane protein which interacts with CD11a/CD18 (LFA-1) and mediates adhesion and leukocyte chemotaxis. CD50 is expressed by hematopoietic cells, endothelial cells and epidermal Langerhans cells.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The TP1/25.1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The TP1/25.1 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
