Description

The 2A6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD26, a 110 kDa type II transmembrane dimer. CD26 is an ectoenzyme with dipeptidyl peptidase IV activity expressed by T cells and is upregulated upon T cell stimulation. It is thought that CD26 plays a role in interaction with the extracellular matrix molecules and in T cell activation.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 2A6 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The 2A6 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
