Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with .25 μg of Biotin Mouse IgG1, K Iso Cntrl (cat. 13-4714) (open histogram) or .25 μg of Biotin anti-human IgM (SA-DA4) (colored histogram) followed by SAv-PE (cat. 12-4317). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.

Description

The SA-DA4 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of human IgM. It does not react with other classes of human immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG, or IgA. IgM is expressed intracellularly, during early stages of B lymphopoiesis, and then on the surface of mature B cells.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The SA-DA4 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The SA-DA4 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
