Staining of the 2102Ep cell line with 0.5 μg of Biotin Rat IgM Iso Cntrl (cat. 13-4341) (open histogram) or 0.5 μg of Biotin anti-human/mouse SSEA-3 (MC-631) (colored histogram) followed by Streptavidin-PE (cat. 12-4317). Total viable cells were used for analysis.

The eBioMC-631 (MC-631) monoclonal antibody reacts with the carbohydrate moiety galactosylgloboside on Stage-specific embryonic antigen-3 (SSEA-3). Expression is restricted to the surface of human teratocarcinoma stem cells (EC), human embryonic germ cells (EG) and human embryonic stem cells (ES) and down regulated following differentiation.

Applications Tested

---

This eBioMC-631 (MC-631) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of the 2102Ep cell line. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
