Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe polyclonal antibody reacts with human interleukin-13 (IL-13). IL-13, also known as NC30, is a 12.5 kDa protein secreted by activated T helper cells, CD8+ T cells, and NK cells. The biological activities of IL-13 include suppression of macrophage cytotoxic activity, upregulation of IL-1RA expression and suppression of inflammatory cytokine expression. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The biotinylated anti-human IL-13 polyclonal antibody has been reported for use in ELISA and ELISPOT. Applications TestedThe biotinylated anti-human IL-13 polyclonal antibody has been tested as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of human IL-13 in combination with the purified PVM13-1 (14-7139) antibody for capture and recombinant human IL-13 (14-8139) as the standard. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for ELISA detection is 0.5-2 µg/ml. A standard curve consisting of doubling dilutions of the recombinant cytokine standard over the range of 1000 pg/ml - 8 pg/ml should be included in each ELISA plate.
