Description

The JES1-5A10 antibody reacts with human interleukin-5 (IL-5), also known as BCDF-α and eosinophil differentiation factor (EDF). This 15-20 kDa cytokine is secreted by T cells and exists a homodimer.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. JES1-5A10 has been reported for use in detection of human IL-5 by ELISA.

Applications Tested

The JES1-5A10 antibody has been tested as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of human Interleukin-5 (IL-5) in combination with the purified TRFK5 (14-7052) antibody for capture and recombinant human IL-5 (14-8059) as the standard. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for ELISA detection is 0.5-2 µg/ml. A standard curve consisting of doubling dilutions of the recombinant standard over the range of 500 pg/ml - 4 pg/ml should be included in each ELISA plate.
