Mouse splenocytes were stimulated with PMA and ionomycin in the presence of Brefeldin A for 5 hours. The cells were surface stained with FITC anti-mouse CD4 (GK1.5) and intracellularly stained with PE anti-mouse IL-2 (JES6-5H4).

Description

The JES6-5H4 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and a major immunoregulatory cytokine.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. JES6-5H4 has been reported for use in detection of mouse IL-2 by ELISA, intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis, immunoprecipitation, and for neutralizing IL-2 binding and biological activity.

Applications Tested

The JES6-5H4 antibody has been tested as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of mouse Interleukin-2 (IL-2) in combination with the purified JES6-1A12 (14-7022) antibody for capture and recombinant mouse IL-2 (14-8021) as the standard. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for ELISA detection is 0.5-2 µg/ml. A standard curve consisting of doubling dilutions of the recombinant standard over the range of 500 pg/ml - 4 pg/ml should be included in each ELISA plate.
