Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe CRM57 antibody reacts with human and baboon interleukin-1β (IL-1β). IL-1β is a 17 kDa factor secreted primarily by monocytes. IL-1 has effects on T-helper cells, inducing IL-2 secretion and expression of IL-2 receptors. IL-1 has effects on B cells, promoting cell proliferation and immunoglobulin synthesis. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The CRM57 antibody has been reported for use in ELISA. Applications TestedThe CRM57 antibody has been tested as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for analysis of human interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in combination with the purified CRM56 (14-7018) for capture and recombinant human IL-1β (14-8018) as the standard. A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for use in ELISA detection is 0.25 -1 µg/ml. A standard curve consisting of doubling dilutions of the recombinant standard over the range of 1000 pg/ml - 8 pg/ml should be included in each ELISA plate.
