Description
The 14B11 monoclonal antibody reacts with a subset of mouse Ly-49 receptors and recognizes a majority of mouse NK cells. This antibody reacts with 3 putative inhibitory members of the Ly-49 family, F, I, and C and one putative activating receptor, Ly-49H. 14B11 does not react with Ly-49A, B, D, or G. It is reported that 14B11 enhances the redirected lysis of FcR
+ target cells by IL-2-activated NK cells.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 14B11 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
The 14B11 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
