Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe 5B11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD123, the α chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60-70 kDa transmembrane protein binds to IL-3 with low affinity by itself and when associated with either CD131 (common β chain) or AIC2A (IL-3β) binds IL-3 with high affinity. CD123 does not transduce any intracellular signals upon binding IL-3 and requires the β chain for this function. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 5B11 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications TestedThe 5B11 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cell suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. References
