Description

The 4H1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human CD116 molecule, the α subunit of GM-CSF receptor. The α subunit associates with the common β chain (CD131) to form the high affinity receptor for GM-CSF. The GM-CSFR α chain is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and some tumor cells.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. 4H1 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The 4H1 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
