Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with 0.125 μg of Biotin Mouse IgG1, K Iso Cntrl (cat. 13-4714) (open histogram) or 0.125 μg of Biotin Human CD10 (colored histogram) followed by SAv-PE (cat. 12-4317). Cells in the granulocyte gate were used for analysis.

Description

The eBioSN5c monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), which is a 100 kDa, type II cell surface glycoprotein originally identified for its expression on most acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL). Subsequently, CD10 was shown to be the same molecule as the neutral endopeptidase (NEP), or KII-NA. CD10 is a Zn2+-dependent metallo-peptidase with endothelin, glucagon, gastrin, neurotensin and bradykinin included among its substrates. CD10 is involved in the regulation of chemotactic and inflammatory processes involving neutrophils. In B cells, CD10 regulates stromal cell-dependent B lymphopoiesis and expression has also been reported on mature B cells in germinal centers. Expression is found on normal donor granulocytes and bone marrow stromal cells. Most likely CB-CALLA and eBioSN5c see different epitopes due to there ability to co-stain.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This eBioSN5c (SN5c L4-1A1) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis, and immunohistology staining of frozen tissue sections.

Applications Tested

This eBioSN5c (SN5c L4-1A1) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
