Surface staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with anti-human CD7 (CD7-6B7) PE. Appropriate isotype controls were used (open histogram). Cells in the lymphocyte population were used for analysis.

Description

The CD7-6B7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD7, a 40 kDa type I transmembrane protein. CD7 is expressed by thymocytes, mature T cells, NK cells and pre-B cells. Signaling through crosslinking of CD7 on the surface of T cells induces calcium ion flux.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The CD7-6B7 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The CD7-6B7 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at 5 μl per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume.
