Flow Cytometry Product Notes: Test Sizes: To accommodate multicolor flow cytometry, eBioscience is in the process of reducing test size volumes from 20 µl to 5 µl. Please check your antibody vial for the recommended test size. Fluorochrome Replacements: eBioscience is in the process of replacing all Pacific Blue® and APC-Alexa Fluor® 750 conjugated products with eFluor™ 450 and APC-eFluor™ 780 conjugated products, respectively.
Description
The monoclonal antibody 3D12 (HLA-E) recognizes human HLA-E, a member of the Human Leukocyte Antigen family. HLA-E is a MHC Class IB member, which has a specialized role in NK cell recognition. Binding of a restricted set of peptides derived from other Class I leader sequences to the HLA-E and B2M (beta2 microglobulin) complex leads to interaction with NKG2A on NK cells. This binding protects the HLA-G-expressing cell from NK cell killing. HLA-E expression is ubiquitous.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This 3D12 (HLA-E) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
This 3D12 (HLA-E) antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Please refer to the antibody vial for the recommended test volume, which contains 0.5 μg, to use for one million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume.
