Description
Streptavidin binds to biotin with high affinity. Fluorochrome-conjugated Streptavidin is commonly used in indirect staining protocols to detect biotinylated primary antibodies in flow cytometry. SAV-PE is excited at 480-560 nm and emits its fluorescence at ~575 nm.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Streptavidin-PE has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
This lot of SAV-PE has been tested by flow cytometric analysis to detect biotinylated primary antibodies and can be used at less than or equal to 0.125 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that this reagent be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
