Staining of Lou rat splenocytes with FITC anti-rat CD4 (OX35) (cat. 11-0040) and 0.125 μg of PE Mouse IgG1, K Iso Cntrl (cat. 12-4714) (left) or 0.125 μg of PE anti-rat CD103 (OX62) (right). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis and events are displayed after gating out CD3+ T cells and CD45R+ B cells, and gating on the remaining cells which are MHC Class II+.

Description
The OX62 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD103, also known as αE2 integrin. CD103 was originally identified on rat veiled dendritic cells, and is expressed by dendritic epidermal T cells in the skin, intraepithelial lymphocytes in the small intestine and by dendritic cells associated with γδ T cells. Integrins are a family of heterodimeric proteins which contain non-covalently associated α and β transmembrane glycoproteins. Integrins function as receptors for extracellular matrix and cell-cell adhesion molecules.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This OX62 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
This OX62 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
