Description

The NK92.39.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD96 also known as TACTILE (T cells-activated increased late expression). CD96 is a type I membrane protein of the Immunoglobulin Superfamily. CD96 promotes NK cell adhesion to cells expressing the polio virus receptor (CD155). Therefore CD96 is an additional receptor for CD155. After binding of PVR to CD96, the PVR can be transferred to the target cell and CD96 can be internalized with bound PVR. This internalization may lead to cell death of the NK cell. This phenomenon may be significant in tumor cells which express high levels of PVR. Furthermore expression of CD96 has been found in the majority of CD34(+)CD38(-) Acute Myeloid Leukemic cells.
The NK92.39.1 antibody can block binding of soluble CD155 to NK cell lines.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This NK92.39 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

This NK92.39 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 20 μl (0.5 μg) per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume.
