Description

The HS76 antibody reacts with human SLP-76. SLP-76 (SH2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 76 kD) has also been described as lymphocyte cytosolic protein 2 (LCP2 ) and 76-kDa phosphoprotein (pp76 ). SLP-76 is a cytosolic adaptor protein expressed in several cell types of hematopoietic origin. SLP-76 associates with a number of additional molecules and is required for coupling receptor ligation with more distal signaling events in immature thymocytes, mature T cells, platelets, and mast cells. SLP-76 was originally identified as a substrate of the ZAP-70 protein tyrosine kinase following T cell receptor (TCR) ligation in the leukemic T cell line Jurkat. A number of additional proteins have been identified that associate with SLP-76 both constitutively and inducibly following receptor ligation, supporting the notion that SLP-76 functions as an adaptor or scaffold protein. Studies using SLP-76 deficient T cell lines or mice have provided strong evidence that SLP-76 plays a positive role in promoting T cell development and activation as well as mast cell and platelet function.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This HS76 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

This HS76 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of fixed and permeabilized normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. This can be used at 20 μl (0.5 μg) per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume).
