Description
The H44 antibody reacts with the interleukin-18 receptor α chain (IL-18Rα), also known as IL-1Rrp, an IL-1R family member. IL-18Rα is expressed on Th1 cells, NK cell subset, neutrophils and IL-12-stimulated tonsillar B cells. By itself, IL-18Rα binds IL-18 with low affinity and when complexed with IL-18Rβ chain binds IL-18 with high affinity. The proinflammatory cytokine IL-18 and its receptor complex play an important role in the innate and autoimmune responses.
Applications Reported
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. H44 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested
This H44 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis on peripheral blood leukocytes and granulocytes. This can be used at 20 μl (0.25 μg) per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume).
