Staining of C57Bl/6 splenocytes with PE anti-mouse CD3e (cat.12-0031) and 1 µg of FITC mouse IgG1 isotype control (cat.11-4719) (left) or 0.5 µg of FITC YLI-90 (right). Samples were pre-incubated with purified anti-CD16/32 (cat.14-0161). Total viable cells were used for analysis.

Description

The YLI-90 monoclonal antibody reacts with the B6 mouse Ly-49I receptor. Ly49I, a member of the Ly49 family with inhibitory function, is a homodimer type II transmembrane protein and contains an Immunoreceptor Tyrosine-based Inhibitory Motif (ITIM). YLI-90 binds to subpopulations of NK, NKT and T cell lineages in the C57Bl/6 strain. This antibody does not bind to cells from BALB/c, SJL or AKR/J mice.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. YLI-90 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The YLI-90 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mouse splenocyte suspensions and can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 µg/million cells. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
