Description

The hNanog.1 antibody was generated against and reacts with human Nanog, a homeobox transcription factor. In addition to the known Oct4 and Stat3 transcriptional operating systems, Nanog plays a crucial role in the second embryonic cell fate specification following formation of the blastocyst. Nanog was identified as a gene specifically expressed in mouse ES cells and preimplantation embryos and is capable of maintaining ES cell self-renewal independently of LIF/Stat3. Potential cross-reactivity of this antibody to other proteins has not been determined.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This hNanog.1 antibody has been reported for use in intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

This hNanog.1 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analys of NTERA embryonic stem cells. This can be used at 20 μl (0.5 μg) per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume).
