Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe 18d3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD94, a 70 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD94 belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily and is present as a heterodimer with NKG2 on the surface. CD94 is expressed by NK cells, a subset of T cells, and NKT cells and plays an important role in adhesion and activation of NK cell lineage. DBA/2J mice are naturally CD94-deficient and do not express cell-surface CD94/NKG2A receptors, even on neonatal NK cells. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The 18d3 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications TestedThe 18d3 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 μg per million cells in a 100 μl total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. References
