Questions? Please consult our answers to frequently asked questions at http://www.ebioscience.com/faq. DescriptionThe HIP2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human CD41 molecule, a subunit of the integrin αIIb also known as platelet GPIIb. CD41 non-covalently associates with integrin β3 (GPIIIa, CD61) and is expressed by megakaryocytes and platelets. The CD41/CD61 complex is a receptor for fibronectin, fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, vitronectin and thrombospondin and mediates platelets aggregation. HIP2 blocks platelet aggregation. Applications ReportedFor research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The HIP2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications TestedThe HIP2 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at 20 μl (2 μg) per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume). References
